1. Who We Are

TradeAware is operated by Softaware Lab. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the TradeAware application ("the Service").

2. Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive:

• Email address — used as your account identifier.
• Display name — shown in the UI.

We do not collect or store your Google password, IBKR credentials, or financial account passwords. IBKR authentication happens directly between your browser and the IBKR Client Portal Gateway.

3. Trading Data

The Service stores locally (on the server running your instance):

• Watchlist symbols and strategy configurations you create.
• Trade records (symbol, side, quantity, time) for your activity log.
• Engine state (running/stopped, daily P&L tracking).

This data is stored in a SQLite database on the application server. It is not transmitted to third parties.

4. Cookies & Sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. The cookie is HTTP-only, secure, and has a SameSite=Lax policy. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Third-Party Services

• Google OAuth — for authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Interactive Brokers — market data and order execution via the IBKR Client Portal API. Subject to IBKR's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Security

All connections use HTTPS with TLS encryption. Gateway containers are isolated per user. Access to admin functions requires an administrator role.

7. Data Retention

Your account and trading data are retained as long as your account exists. An administrator can delete your account, which removes all associated data.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting the administrator of your TradeAware instance.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
